CFX Forecasts Growth for Indonesia’s Crypto Transactions in 2025

Jakarta, 5 February 2025 – Building on its growth momentum in 2024, PT Central Finansial X (CFX), the only government-regulated crypto futures exchange in Indonesia, projects continued expansion in crypto asset investment transactions this year. The upcoming 2025 Bulan Literasi Kripto (BLK), taking place from February 3 to 27, 2025, is expected to be a key driver of this growth.

CFX President Director, Subani, emphasized the importance of public literacy in the rapidly growing Indonesian crypto industry. He noted that current crypto asset literacy remains relatively low, with only 31.8% of the population understanding basic investment principles, according to a 2024 report by cryptoliteracy.org.

“We recognize that crypto literacy is a crucial foundation for the healthy development of the Indonesian crypto market. CFX is fully committed to supporting BLK 2025 and similar educational initiatives, which are vital for increasing public understanding and fostering a positive trend in crypto asset investment growth,” said Subani. 

Subani expressed optimism about the trajectory of the Indonesian crypto industry. Data from the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (Bappebti) shows a 335% year-on-year increase in crypto transaction volume, reaching Rp650.61 trillion by December 2024. The number of crypto asset users has also grown to 22.91 million.

CFX reports that 16 of the 31 registered exchange members are currently licensed as Digital Financial Asset Traders (PKAD). Subani anticipates further growth in both transaction volume and the number of fully licensed traders this year, reflecting the increasingly positive development of Indonesia’s crypto ecosystem.

BLK 2025, a program of the Indonesian Crypto Asset Traders Association – Indonesian Blockchain Association (Aspakrindo-ABI), is themed “Wise Investing: Build Your Future Early.” The program will feature roadshows in various cities, offering workshops, seminars, webinars, and panel discussions with experienced speakers.
